What documents are required to obtain a new passport?
Obtaining a new passport requires the following documents:
- National ID number.
- Personal ID card or family booklet.
- Birth certificate.
- The completed official application form available on the Forms page.
Applications are submitted at the nearest Authority branch.
How long does it take to issue a passport?
Processing time varies depending on the completeness of the documents and the workload at the branch. It usually takes several working days from the date a complete application is submitted. Applicants are notified of the collection date when applying.
Where can I find the applicable service fees?
The fees for each service are announced at Authority branches and in the regulatory decisions published on the Decisions page of this website. Please review the latest decisions or ask at the nearest branch before applying.
What should I do if my passport is lost?
If your passport is lost, follow these steps:
- Report the loss to the nearest police station and obtain a loss report.
- Visit the nearest Authority branch with the loss report and your national ID number.
- Complete the designated replacement application form.
The branch will complete the procedures and issue a replacement passport in accordance with the applicable regulations.
How do I track a request I submitted through the website?
When you send a message through the Contact page, you receive a reference number for your request. You can track its status at any time on the Track your request page by entering the reference number and the email address you used when submitting.
